Chestnut Honey 400g

The chestnut tree ( Castanea ) is a botanical genus belonging to the Fagaceae family; the only native European member of this group is the species C. sativa .

A special honey, loved by those who generally do not like flat tastes and overly sweet flavors. The strong and bitter taste and aroma do not make it ideal for sweetening, but it is excellent consumed as is or combined with cheeses such as parmesan or fresh ricotta.

SMELL: characteristic with animal notes reminiscent of wet cardboard

FLAVOUR: strongly bitter, barely perceptible acidity, sometimes cloying if pure
